Privacy at FLAÜNTE
For try-on, your photo is processed to generate try-on outputs and is not kept as a permanent asset beyond what's needed to show you your own results. Try-on results are delivered as time-limited links; we do not use your image to train third-party models or for ads.
FLAÜNTE does not sell, share, or use your personal data for advertising: we make money from subscriptions and API access, not from reselling your data. Profile data you enter (measurements, preferences, style notes) is used to generate try-on results in your account and nowhere else. Contact: privacy@itsflaunte.com.
What we collect
- Account and contact information you submit (e.g. waitlist email).
- Profile data you enter in the profile builder (measurements, skin and hair signals, category selections, likes and dislikes, brand notes, and optional photos).
- Technical data required to run the service (logs, device and browser metadata, approximate location from IP where applicable).
How we use it
To provide try-on and styling outputs, to improve product quality, to secure the platform, and to communicate with you about FLAÜNTE. We do not sell personal data.
Likeness Studio: face and voice data
If you join Likeness Studio, we handle biometric data: your face (the photos and scans that make your likeness) and, if you add it, your voice. We ask for your explicit consent before we collect either.
- We use your face data only to make your own likeness, to verify your identity, and to check that booking images are the same person.
- We use your voice only to make voice lines you've licensed. Your voice has its own spoken consent, and you hear and approve every recording.
- We don't use your face or voice to train third-party models or for ads, and we don't sell them.
- You can delete your voice at any time. You can delete your likeness by deleting your account (see below).
- We follow GDPR in Europe, BIPA in Illinois and similar laws elsewhere: we keep biometric data only while it's needed for the reason you gave it, and delete it when you ask.
Likeness Studio: what brands see in search
Brands search Likeness Studio by the details you choose to show: where you're based, your age range, height, sizes, skin tone, hair, eyes, gender presentation, languages and availability. Each one has its own switch, and "Show me in brand search" takes you out of search altogether.
- Brands see a detail only when you show it, and can only search by what you show. A hidden detail is never sent to them.
- Location is a city and country only — never your address.
- Your age is shown as a five-year range (for example 25–29), worked out from the birth year on your verified ID. We keep only the birth year, never your date of birth, and never show your exact age. If you were verified before we kept a birth year, you confirm your range yourself.
- Skin tone, eye colour and hair can be filled in from your likeness and Skin Spectrum, but nothing is shown until you save it. Gender presentation is optional, with "prefer not to say".
- If you're a public figure with a representative, they keep these details for you, under the same rules. If you represent yourself, you keep them.
- If you apply to be listed as a public figure yourself, we keep what you send for our team's check — your public name and the name on your ID, the official account you prove (its link, and the one-time code or the connection), your public links and your declarations — for as long as you're listed, and for the record if we decline it.
ID verification
To verify you, we check a government ID and a live selfie against your likeness. ID checks run through Stripe Identity. We keep the ID check images in private storage and delete them when you delete your account, and the Stripe Identity session is redacted.
Payout details
Your bank or payout account details are held by the payment provider that pays you (Stripe, Flutterwave, Paystack or PayPal), not by us. We keep a reference to your account with them so we can send payouts.
Tax details
Before your first payout we ask for your tax details: name, address, date of birth, country of tax residence and tax ID. Stripe collects them itself for US people it pays. We store your tax ID, date of birth and address encrypted, and use them only for the reports the law asks platforms to file — US 1099s, EU DAC7, UK and other OECD platform reports — which go to the tax authority where you live or where we must report. We keep them as long as tax law requires.
Connected social accounts
If you connect Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube, Pinterest, a Facebook Page, Threads, X or LinkedIn, we read your audience numbers so brands can see a verified audience, and we post to that account only when you tap Post. We never read your messages. You can disconnect at any time in Settings › Privacy. Your access tokens are stored encrypted and deleted when you disconnect or delete your account. When you disconnect, TikTok, YouTube and X access is also revoked at the platform.
Content credentials
Images and videos of you that we hand out carry an invisible watermark and a signed content-credentials record. We keep a record of each one so we can tell who it shows and which licence it was made under if it's ever reported.
Who processes your data for us
These companies process data for us, only to do the job named, under our instructions:
- Amazon Web Services (Rekognition): comparing faces to check a picture is you. Images aren't kept or used to train its models.
- Google Cloud (Vertex AI, Speech, Vision): making and checking images, reading consent recordings, and finding where licensed images appear online.
- Modal: running our own models (try-on, likeness, voice, image fingerprints) on servers we control.
- fal.ai: backup image and voice generation; we delete our requests there after each job.
- ElevenLabs and MiniMax: speaking a cloned voice in languages our own model doesn't cover. The voice is deleted there when you delete it or your account.
- SerpApi: a backup search for where licensed images appear online.
- Stripe, Flutterwave, Paystack and PayPal: payments, payouts and ID checks (Stripe Identity).
- Meta (Instagram, Facebook, Threads), TikTok, Snap (Snapchat), Google (YouTube), Pinterest, X and LinkedIn: your audience numbers, and the posts you choose to publish, only for the accounts you connect.
Signed agreements
When you sign the User Agreement, the Likeness Declaration or the Brand Agreement, we keep a record: which agreement and version, a fingerprint (SHA-256) of the exact text you saw, the full name you typed, the boxes you ticked, the time, the language, the email on the account, and one-way salted hashes of your IP address and browser (never the IP address or browser itself).
We use these records only as evidence of what was agreed: to enforce our terms, to deal with misuse of a likeness, and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. They can't be edited or deleted, and they stay after an account is closed, for as long as a claim about them could be brought — normally up to seven years after the account closes (GDPR Art. 6(1)(c) and (f), Art. 17(3)(b) and (e)). We share them only with you, the person whose likeness is concerned, our legal advisers, or law enforcement and courts where the law allows or requires it.
Retention
Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Backups are retained for up to 14 days for disaster recovery. If you delete your account, your profile, wardrobe, and generated results are removed; a minimal record of the deletion request itself is kept for our own compliance record-keeping.
When you delete your account
We delete your likeness photos, scans and models, your identity model (and ask the vendors that processed it to delete it too), your cloned voice, your connected social account tokens, your payout recipient details, your ID check images, your Post it outputs and your try-on files.
Some records stay, with your name and account removed from them, because the law requires it or because they're needed to deal with legal claims (GDPR Art. 17(3)(b) and (e)):
- Booking records and licence text, as the brand's proof of a licence.
- Earnings and payouts, for tax records.
- Content-credential records for licensed images, so we can still answer misuse reports.
- Misuse reports.
- Signed agreements, exactly as signed — with the name you typed and the account email — as evidence of what was agreed (see Signed agreements above).
Files a brand licensed stay with the brand until that licence's term ends. Delivered booking files are deleted from FLAÜNTE after the licence ends.
Your choices
You can export a copy of your data or delete your account at any time from your account settings; both are self-service and take effect immediately, no support ticket required. This covers GDPR and CCPA access, portability, and deletion rights.
